Obituary of Russell A. Burtchell

Russell A. Burtchell, 52, of Glastonbury died Saturday November 21, 2015 at home. Born April 14, 1963 in Hartford, son of the late Arthur W., Sr. and Nancy Louise (Nyland) Burtchell, he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. Russ was a CDL driver for Cardinal Health/AeroMed and Lombardo Bros. Masonry. He was a longtime member of Labor Union, Local 230. Russell loved life and especially his family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, hiking, fishing, motocross, jet skiing, the ocean and outdoor fires. Russ will be remembered for the way he always helped people, his love for animals and his quick jabs. He loved working on trucks and lived life to the fullest. He is survived by a son Justin Burtchell of Glastonbury, a daughter Rebecca Burtchell of Salem, a brother Arthur W. Burtchell, Jr. and his wife Josephine of South Windsor, 3 sisters Patricia Namerow of Middletown, RI, Barbara Donovan and her husband Michael of Glastonbury, Jody DelMastro and her husband Dan of Glastonbury and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by 2 sisters Sherry and Sandra Burtchell. Friends may call at the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, TODAY Nov. 24 from 4-7pm. Funeral service will be Wednesday Nov. 25 at 10am in the Buckingham Congregational Church, 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury. Burial will follow in Buckingham Cemetery.
