Obituary of George D. Kowalsky

George D. Kowalsky, 86, of Glastonbury, passed away peacefully, Thursday, June 11, 2015 at Hartford Hospital. Born, July 5, 1928 to the late Dimitre and Anna Kowalsky, he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury. He graduated from Glastonbury High School and went into the Army, serving in Korea. He worked for CL & P for 34 years as a lineman, his territory covered East Hampton, Colchester, Marlborough, and Glastonbury. George was a member of the Colchester Fish and Game Club and American Legion – Goodale Ramker Post 56. George’s true love was the great outdoors, he loved fishing, hunting, and being with nature. He also enjoyed visits with devoted friends during his past three years at Glastonbury Health Care. George is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Katherine Shelsky, John Kowalsky, Mary Pagani, Olga Curtis, Nell Rival, Andrew Kowalsky, and William Kowalsky. A funeral service will be held, Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 11a.m. in Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Friends may call from 10-11a.m. prior to the service.
